December Pensioner/Family Bonus

As a part of the Economic Security Strategy released by the Australian Government, pensioners, seniors, people with disability, carers and veterans may be eligible for a lump sum payment of $1,400 for singles and $1,050 for each eligible member of a couple.
 
Families with a dependent child/children enabling them to receive Youth Allowance or ABSTUDY Living Allowance or were entitled to Family Tax Benefit Part A are may be eligible for a lump sum payment of $1,000 for each eligible child in their care.
 
Some persons may be able to receive both payments depending on their eligibility.
 
Payments are expected (in most cases) to be made automatically to eligible receiver’s bank accounts during the 8th and 19th of December 2008 with a letter being sent to confirm the payment.
